People come to you in a very vulnerable position having been on the receiving end of news they never thought they would hear and having experienced the reality that their dream of having a family may never come to fruition.

I became a patient of Dr. Yang in Feb. of 2007 after experiencing a 50 + day cycle and learning that my FSH and estradiol levels were consistent with clinically diminished ovarian reserve at best and possible failure at worst. At the age of 34 this took my breath away. I began to see Dr Yang regularly and follow her recommendations about taking wheat grass and prescribed herbs.

The numbers improved and my cycle returned. I also tried to reduce stress as much as I could and even stopped going to acupuncture for few months to take a breather, so to speak from it all, as fertility and conceiving can become all consuming.

I returned to Dr Yang and the regimen a few months later in a better place and tried a failed natural IUI cycle in April of 2008. We planned to go to a renown Reproductive Endocrinologist (we were given 10%, at best, chance of success for IVF) in June so we did not try (OPK, temperature, etc) and much to our delight and surprise we are having a baby!!

My FSH was 20 at one point and my estradiol was over 200 at another point. Even the month I conceived my estradiol was 120. This journey was full of highs and lows and I always said my goal is to try and ride the wave and not drown.

In November 2005, I started acupuncture with DR. Yang to reduce my FSH that was approximately 18.5 on day 3. In addition, I have only one working fallopian tube. Doctor Yang helped me with acupuncture and reduced my high FSH, I had a natural IUI on December 10, 2005 and I became pregnant with my first child. I was 41 and 10 months years old at that time. I continued with acupuncture the whole pregnancy, went full term and had a healthy baby girl on Sep. 2006!

On July 18, 2007 I started to have second baby and went to Dr. Yang again. I was put on Follistim® 600 mg a day by my infertility specialist and had one IUI ---- it was unsuccessful. Since 2005 to 2007, I went to Center of Reproductive Medicine and Infertility at Cornell University, and I have had tried 4 IVF cycles there that failed. During each IVF cycle I only produced 2 to 3 eggs. In 2006, I had one good IVF cycle that developed 9 eggs and 7 fertilized, but unfortunately that cycle failed too.

My husband and I are very frustrated because I was about to turn 39 years old. I decided to try acupuncture. I went to one of the acupuncture schools in long island and got a professional practitioner to do acupuncture. But it seems like acupuncture infertility treatment was not his specialty.

I was then recommended to Dr. Yang's Acupuncture Infertility Specialty Clinic. After our first time consultation with Dr. Yang, we were attracted by her medical knowledge and sweet personality. My husband is a MD. He said Dr. Yang was the right person to try infertility treatment with acupuncture.

Since April 2007 to August 2007, I have had 30 acupuncture sessions with Dr. Yang. After retrieval I only had 3 eggs !!! I was little disappointment at that moment.

I thought acupuncture might not work. But Dr. Yang called me and very confidently told me that even though I had only 3 eggs, they might be of good quality and plus my uterine lining was much improved at 12.4mm and I had not ever had that in previous cycles.

Constant failure of IVF, Acupuncture Supported the 5th IVF Success

I am a 35 year old woman who has gone through many IVF attempts- 4 full fresh cycles and one frozen. For my last two fresh cycles, I incorporated for the first time, acupuncture from Dr. Yang. I went approximately once a week, sometimes twice, and I got pregnant both times. Unfortunately the first one ended in miscarriage early on, but the second one resulted in my current twin pregnancy!

We’re very excited and very thankful to Dr. Yang. My sessions with her were always very enjoyable. She’s very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about IVF and infertility. It is always so relaxing in her office. I often fall asleep during my sessions of acupuncture, which is much needed during IVF and pregnancy and a welcome break during the day.

I just want to everybody to know how much I believe acupuncture for infertility, and Dr. Yang is specialized in it.  I have gone to other two acupuncturists for infertility, neither one was really warm and supportive like Dr. Yang. I am 38 years old, after I have failed 3 IUIs with Clomid, I came to Dr. Yang on August, 2006, and then I did one more cycle IUI with Injectable which I failed. On my first visit with you, you seemed to care more about my entire medical history, then any doctor I had met. Prior to my 1st treatment you had a full understanding of what my needs were and you made me feel very comfortable. My husband and I have tried to conceive for two years. We failed three IUIs with Clomid. We were referred to Dr. Yang by one of her patients who have naturally conceived successfully with Dr. Yang's acupuncture treatment. Doctor Yang spent so much time with me on my first visit; she reviewed my medical history and realized that my endometriosis might be the reason that was causing my fertility issue. Dr. Yang told me that even though I had laparoscopic surgery, I still have some scar tissue in my pelvis from that operation that is called Qi and Blood Stasis in Chinese Medicine. Doctor Yang told me acupuncture will bring blood flow into my pelvis, ovary and uterus to break down this blockage, and that would help prepare for IUI. Then Dr. Yang put some acupuncture needles in my sacrum region, I immediately felt warmth and energy flow into my lower back and inside of my lower abdomen. Abdominal cramps during pregnancy

Thank you so much for your help during my first and second trimester of pregnancy. I came to you during the 11th week due to cramping in my abdomen. I went to see a doctor and was told that the cramping was caused by the stretching of my ovaries because of the growth of my fibroids in my uterus. I was prescribed Tylenol, but it didn't help to stop pain. I came to you and after two treatments, I have not had any pain. Thank you very much. I want to thank Dr. Yang because for many years I suffered very painful and heavy periods due to a polycystic ovary and endometriosis. I was told by doctor I might need surgery to remove my endometriosis and cysts in my pelvis. I didn't want to have surgery because I am so young.
